Celebrating Hannah & Cohort 4 — Leading by Example
Great care starts with great leadership - and great leadership never stops growing.

At Riverside, we believe that great care starts with great leadership. And great leadership never stops growing.
That's why we are absolutely thrilled to share that our Managing Director and CEO, Hannah, has successfully completed the Registered Managers Development Programme - and what a journey it has been.
Over the past 10 weeks, Hannah joined a brilliant group of Registered Managers from across home care and care homes to take part in something truly special. Together, they shared knowledge, exchanged real-world experiences, and — perhaps most importantly — built a strong, meaningful support network with people who truly understand the weight and responsibility of the Registered Manager role.
It is no small thing to carve out time for your own development while leading a team and running a service. It takes courage, commitment, and a genuine belief that there is always more to learn. Hannah has demonstrated all of that and more.
Cohort 4 — Part of Something Bigger
Hannah's cohort is the fourth group to complete the programme, and over the past year, an incredible 41 delegates have graduated and been awarded an Institute of Leadership qualification. Each cohort has built on the last, and Cohort 4 — known as ELEVATE — marked an exciting and important step forward: a programme specifically designed to recognise and invest in established leaders, helping them to further strengthen their skills and deepen their impact.
The graduation of each cohort has been a significant milestone — not just a celebration of completing a programme, but a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment that every single delegate has poured into it.
Thank You to Those Who Made It Possible
A heartfelt thank you to Smart Working Revolution and Proud To Care Cornwall for making this programme happen and for delivering it with such passion, expertise, and unwavering support throughout. The tools, guidance, and insight provided have been truly invaluable — not just for Hannah, but for every leader who has taken part.
This was the very first 'Elevate' training programme for experienced Registered Managers in Health and Social Care, and it is safe to say it has set a remarkable standard.
What This Means for Riverside
Hannah returns to the Riverside team energised, inspired, and full of fresh ideas. She is excited to bring everything she has learned back to the people who matter most — our team and the individuals we support every day. She is also looking forward to future collaborations with fellow home care providers, because we firmly believe that when care leaders connect and grow together, the whole sector becomes stronger.
A Note on Leading by Example
If you ask your team to invest in their own professional development, be prepared to do the same. None of us are the finished product. There is always more to learn, always room to grow, and always value in surrounding yourself with people who challenge and inspire you.
Hannah has led by example — and we couldn't be prouder.
Here's to the future, to continued growth, and to everything still to come. Watch this space.
Congratulations to Hannah and every graduate of the Registered Managers Development Programme. Your achievements are inspiring, and we cannot wait to see the difference you continue to make.
