About us
We wanted to take the time to introduce ourselves and give you a bit of background information on us and explain the commitments we make to our clients. Riverside Support Service Ltd is the coming together of like minded people who want to make a difference and make a change, not just for the service users but all the team involved. Every person has a right to live without fear, discrimination and judgement.
"We've seen first hand how people can be forgotten."
We take pride in the support we give to people and part of this is about doing more than the basic necessities. We wanted to create an inclusive environment to promote everyone's individuality and individual needs. For us care and support isn’t just about helping maintain independence, its about promoting independence, self worth, self love and well-being. Of course those things are important but it's also about going that extra mile and going above and beyond, finding out about the person, their hobbies and interests, their likes and dislikes and looking at how we can support them to still do those things they love in a safe environment.
It's not just about existing but living as full a life as possible.
We are a team who empower one another to grow as individuals and embrace our individuality.
We are all individuals with individual needs. Our main aim at Riverside Support Service Ltd is to put YOU in charge of your support and in control from the start.

Our management team is built on hard work, dedication, and firsthand experience. Every member has started from the ground up, gaining invaluable hands-on knowledge in care and support before stepping into leadership roles. With years of expertise behind them, they bring not only skill but also a deep understanding of what it truly means to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
We believe that learning never stops, and our leadership team remains committed to growing, evolving, and sharing their knowledge to ensure the highest standards of support. Their journey is a testament to our values of progression, dedication, and continuous improvement—because at Riverside Support Service, we believe in leading by example.

Ruth King
She/Her
Community Support Worker
Hi I'm Ruth!
Born in Cornwall and moved to Falmouth a year ago. Mum to my beautiful little girl Nevaeh Rose, who is nearly 3 years old.
I've worked in community healthcare for over 3 years now, took a break when I had my daughter, then returned to work as a SEN teaching assistant, supporting primary age children with learning disabilities and spectrum disorders.
I missed working in elderly care, seeing people in the community, listening to their stories of childhood and building a lovely relationship with them also.
I then decided to apply for a job at Riverside, seeing how much they genuinely care for people's wellbeing and visits being more person centred.
Most care company's visits are being rushed due to short travel times in between clients.
Being able to sit with someone, taking your time and supporting them emotionally is very important.
In my spare time I love to bake and cook with my daughter.
Healthy eating and exercise is like therapy for me and is vital for my mental wellbeing.
Also love to travel, I've been to many different countries, volunteered in Bangladesh with ICS programme for 3 months. Was an amazing experience!
Excited to become part of the team!

In my spare time, I love to relax and enjoy the sun with my friends and family—whether it’s a day at the beach, a BBQ in the garden, or simply making the most of the beautiful surroundings we have here in Cornwall.
I joined Riverside Support Service because I was ready for a career change—something that would be both challenging and rewarding. I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives, helping them not just with everyday tasks, but also supporting them in doing the things they love. It’s incredible to be part of a team that truly cares, listens, and goes above and beyond for both clients and colleagues.
I’m excited for this journey and grateful to be working alongside such a compassionate and supportive team!
